Park Construction Group Ltd has worked in hundreds of locations in New York City for some of the most well known General Contractors, Fashion Houses, Prime Retailers, Financial Institutions, Private Schools, Property Managers & Hotel Groups. Below is a list of a small sample of Projects we have worked on, to give an idea of the diversity of the Project Experience that we have.

STREETWORKS "LORD AND TAYLOR" PROJECTS - GARDEN CITY, NY & STAMFORD, CT 

Streetworks Development retrofitted their Lord and Taylor Department Store into Corporate Office and Retail Spaces a well as a new Whole Foods. . This project involved reconstructing the Superstructure of an Existing Building to allow for Large Windows to be installed in a Traditional Department Store originally constructed without Windows. This involved the Shoring of Existing Walls and Structural Elements along with Installation of New Structural Tubing Columns, Beams and Bracing. The project also included new Dunnage and Skylight Support Steel in various locations. 

 

LIVE NATION, PARAMOUNT THEATER, BROOKLYN, NY 

 Complete renovation of Pre-War Orchestral Theater that was converted into a Sports Arena by Live Nation. The Steel scope consisted of new Catwalks, Performance Stage, Steel for Stage Lighting, Stadium Seating, Balconies and Reinforcement/Reconfiguration of existing Ground Floor Structural System. The project also included Misc Metals for all Stadium Seating Stairs, Aisle and Balcony Railings along with Vertical Transportation Steel and Reconfiguration of Entryways and Lintels for new Penetrations. 

 

NEW YORK PRESBYTERIAN, MILSTEIN TOWER, NEW YORK, NY 

NYUPH replaced the existing cooling tower to meet their present and projected demand. The Modification consisted of upgrading the existing unit and added an additional unit. The existing dunnage and roof framing required an extensive amount of new steel members and beam reinforcement to the roof and additional dunnage. The complexity of the project was that the existing unit could not be taken offline since it was the only unit servicing the building. The SOW was performed in phases and in a well thought out sequence. 

REGAL CINEMAS, ESSEX CROSSING, NEW YORK NY

This Regal Cinemas at Essex Crossing adds a new 14-screen movie theater to the Lower East Side. The recently constructed theater includes 1,200 seats all with footrests and the ability to recline for maximum comfort as well as state-of-the-art cinema technology to create an improved moviegoing experience. Sitting on the the F/M/J/Z subway lines, the building is easily accessible and draws moviegoers from across Manhattan. The 130,000 square foot theater provides residents of the Lower East Side with a much-needed relaxing moviegoing experience. Park Construction Group provided structural services including raised concrete slabs with CDM isolators and specialized concrete tiered-stadium seating for the theaters. 

JOSE CUERVO'S "GREAT JONES DISTILLERY", NOHO, NEW YORK NY

The Great Jones Distillery is the first distillery built in Manhattan since the Prohibition. The 10,000 square foot new multi-level restaurant and distillery will feature spirits made in-house.  Our work included Vertical Transportation Steel, all new Concrete Structural Slabs throughout, CMU for three new passenger elevators and two Staircases as well as Intricate Structural Steel Shoring of the entire building due to excavation and exposure of the footings for the excavation of the three Elevator Pits. 

FRENCHETTE RESTAURANT, ROCKEFELLER CENTER, NEW YORK NY

This project consisted of Structural Steel and Concrete for a new Restaurant including new Staircases, a Mezzanine and various Infills throughout the space.

JEAN GEORGE'S "425 PARK AVE RESTAURANT", NEW YORK NY

This new High End Park Avenue Restaurant project included Vertical Transportation Steel, Mezzanine Structural Steel, Reinforcing Steel and Concrete Topping for new Flooring Applications. 

SILO RIDGE CONDOMINIUMS, AMENIA NY

Structural Steel and Structural Masonry for 4 new Residential Buildings which included Core CMU Walls, Elevator Shafts and Structural Steel Framing to reinforce Carpentry Framing. 

LULULEMON, 520 BROADWAY, NEW YORK NY

Lululemon built a new SoHo flagship location encompassing four floors of innovative technical athletic gear with their desire to build community and connection. In addition to the retail areas, the new flagship location also includes a community venue.   

Park Construction provided demolition, shoring, structural steel and miscellaneous reinforcing steel throughout the building. The project also involved structural demolition and specialized shoring along with steel modifications to accommodate the feature stair due to design load.

ULTA BEAUTY, 1378 BROADWAY, NEW YORK, NY

Ulta Beauty opened a new 12,040-square-foot beauty retail store at Herald Square in Midtown. Ulta Beauty was looking to expand their presence in Manhattan and its new store features prestige, massage and salon products as well as salon services.
Park Construction provided structural steel for the new mezzanine, façade supports and support steel framing for the new three stop elevator. New steel stairs were also installed and the existing staircases were modified to extend to the basement.

IKEA STORE & CAFE AT REGO PARK, QUEENS NY

This project was an interior alteration to close structural openings, add new steel staircases and modernize existing elevator shafts for the buildout of a new Ikea store. We also performed SOE work and Foundation alterations, new concrete slabs and ejector pits for the Cafe/Eatery that Ikea has planned for the Lower Level of the Space. This project consisted of very technical Saw Cutting, Structural Demolition, Shoring of a large section of CMU Wall, Dewatering, Trenching, Coupler Rebar Reinforcements, Footing Extensions, and a Cylindrical Concrete Pit.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RECORDING ARTISTS "THE GRAMMY'S" 

The Grammys decided to purchase a Brownstone for their NYC Headquarters. A property once owned by the Attorney of JPMorgan in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood at 21 East 37th St. This building was strictly an old fashioned Single Family Residence, that needed to be converted for Commercial Use. This involved Structural Steel for the Elevator., A brand new Steel Fire Escape, Roof MEP Support Steel and Platforms (Dunnage) and Interior Steel Staircases.

MINAMOTO KITCHOAN, 53RD ST AT MADISON AVENUE, NEW YORK NY

Located in the heart of New York City, Minamoto is a modern sweet shop selling artisanal Japanese desserts and wagashi. Work included full demolition and interior fit out of the existing space to include offices, retail and restaurant space as well as a commercial kitchen for the world-renowned Japanese confectioner. The store promotes both Japanese and local culture and hopes to be a bridge between the two.

BRIONI CLOTHIERS, 680 MADISON AVENUE, NEW YORK NY

Brioni Clothiers is an exclusive brand of men’s clothing defined by traditional Italian tailoring techniques and the use of fine fabrics. For their flagship store, located in the Upper East Side, the design concept is rooted in the idea that the architectural elements of the space should be more prominently featured than the furnishing accents. Balancing both classic and modern design, accents of grey travertine and marble columns make a deliberate nod to ancient Roman architecture. The element of luxury is emphasized throughout the space, complementing the brand. Park Construction carefully and perfectly leveled and smoothed the raised slabs to meet the strict requirements of the Master Italian tile installers flown in to place the imported Venetian marble tile floors.

JPMORGAN CHASE TECH DIVISION, 5 MANHATTAN WEST, NEW YORK NY

JPMorgan Chase recently vastly expanded their footprint at 5 Manhattan West by incorporating an additional 300,000 square feet. The space is for FinTech, its financial technology arm. The renovated workplace features brightly colored walls and a modern open floor plan and includes amenities such as ping pong and foosball tables. 

Park Construction oversaw the structural steel framing and concrete installation for the new restrooms and facilities as well as the design, fabrication and erection of the feature stair for the executive office area.
